Boracay: kitesurfers and Asian tourists paradise

The most vibrant island of the Visayas became famous thanks to its 4km long white sand tropical beach. The beach is long indeed, and the sand is amazingly white. But over-development has got a price: a green algae has developped in the water in the South of the island. Fortunately, the Northern beaches are still protected and very beautiful. And the conditions are perfect for kitesurfers who literally invade the East beach from January to March.

Environmental issues are starting to be dealt with: beaches are really clean and rubbish is collected if not minimised. Most of the tourists are Asians (70% at least) and Russians. And they all like diving, sailing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, playing beach-volley with the locals...the island can propose anything you want! That is on top of the happy hour while watching the beautiful sunset before eating fresh seafood or fantastic steaks at one of the numerous restaurants. Life is hard indeed in Boracay:-)

East cost for teh kitesurfers, west coast for the lazy tourists.

Kamikazes preparant un attentat? Non, juste des travailleurs transferant des briques d'un point A a un point B..mais le soleil tape a Boracay!

D'Talipapa market: best sea-food on the island. Dried fishes are used for doing pastes or being deep-fried.

Festival d'Ati-Atihan: mardi gras melangeant une procession catholique et un hommage aux origines tribales
